[Archive] Crooked Tunes—Summer 2024 Online Workshop Series
This workshop series is now only available in archival form at a discount. Upon purchase you’ll receive an downloadable file with a link to the archive (send me an email at camerondewhitt@gmail.com if you have any issues).
Here is the original description:
In this workshop series we’ll cover old time crookedness! We’ll learn four tunes on the banjo that are crooked in different ways and we’ll talk about how to hear and anticipate similar crooked forms in the future.
Workshops will take place online on Tuesdays (6/25, 7/2, 7/9, and 7/16) from 5:30-6:45pmPacific via Discord (it’s not that different from Zoom, I promise, and it’s better for keeping track of workshop materials). After signing up, registrants will get a downloadable .html file (openable in your internet browser) with a link to instructions. The download link expires 24 hours after purchase so I recommend downloading it right away. Workshops will be recorded and posted in the Discord server.
This workshop could be for any skill level, but participants will be most comfortable if they’re already able to play the basic clawhammer stroke, as well as hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, and drop-thumbs at a medium speed.
